A Day at Luray
Took some time out from work for a bit of family summer fun today. We went to Luray Caverns. After all the years I have now lived in VA I thought it was about time I finally made the trip. Plus I figured the boys would enjoy it. Despite a very grumpy 8 year old, we managed to have a great time today. The caverns were breathtaking. This is shot of the reflection pool. Such an optical illusion - it is truly hard to believe that the bottom is just a reflection of the top.
Here we are having fun minus "Mr. Grumpy" (I swear sometimes I think he's hitting the teen years early, ugh!) who refused to be in the photo.
If you have never made the trip, I highly recommend it! We took the back roads, and enjoyed the wonderful country scenery, antique shops, and a fabulous lunch at "A Moment to Remember" (adorable cafe and gift shop) in Luray.
