Sick as a Dog

Such a strange saying, wonder where that one came from?
I've been terribly sick since Monday. I'm afraid I've had too miss out on two shows and the South of the James Market yesterday.
I'm also a bit behind on orders and convos, so thank you those of you who are patiently waiting.

My faithful friend Zelda has not left my side for a moment. Such a good girl. I know she is desperately missing our morning walks in the woods. (as am I, sigh)
Those are my legs under the fuzzy fleece in case you didn't guess. ;-)
I will try my best to get all orders out tomorrow.

Hoping you all are having a happy and healthy weekend!

When the House is Quiet

In a house with two loud and energetic little boys and one extremely noisy, hyper lab puppy, there is usually a lot of noise. When the house becomes quiet it either means the boys are at school and the dog is outside, OR . . . someone is up to no good. ;-)
Yesterday, I was very busy trying to catch up on some portrait commission paintings and realized how quiet it had gotten in the family room. I went to check on Zelda and she had managed to shred one of her favorite toys into a million pieces. How guilty does she look?!
I have had to take a break from painting my little pendants for a while so I can get caught up on other things, but did want to share this photo since I've been playing around with my new camera.

Pretty in Pink

Well it seems that all my current work is surprise birthday commissions. Since I don't have any of my own work to show I thought I'd show you this great collar and leash set I got from Etsy seller temjtc at The Naughty Dog Boutique
She custom made this adorable pink and brown set for our pampered pooch.
I just love her new collar and so does Zelda! She how she is showing it of? :-) So pretty in pink!
I am going to have to find time to paint her portrait soon!

Introducing Zelda

Afraid I have not had time to post much lately for two reasons. The first is that I have been very busy with several commissions which I am unable to post pictures of because they are all surprise birthday gifts.
The second reason, is because of the newest addition to our family . . . Zelda, an adorable chocolate lab puppy whom we adopted from a local animal rescue group. She is a bundle of energy and has brought even more excitement to our household. I am sure she will also be the subject of future paintings, so stay tuned. She has the most incredible green eyes!
