2nd Place in Show

My "Bubbles With a Wink" Prismacolor pencil drawing won 2nd place in the "Undiscovered Artist Exhibit" opening last night. My "Feeling Blue #2" was also accepted into the show.

I'm honored and thrilled. I think this was the incentive I needed to get moving on doing some more paintings and drawing and to start applying for other gallery shows. There are also some other wonderful pieces by other local artists. It was very crowded at the opening last night, but I will try to go by there again soon and take some photos to share.

Busy Week and More Pendants

It's been a busy week so far. I'm still struggling with getting over "something". I think the flu has shifted into bronchitis. However, I have managed to get several more pendant paintings done. I just love painting these little pieces. Spring and summer seem to be on my mind as you might be able to tell by my themes.

I also celebrated my birthday this week. I took part of the day off and went thrift store shopping - such a good time. I found this cute little white bowl I've been using in my latest photos.

Tomorrow is the opening exhibition for the JCC's Undiscovered Artist Exhibit. My two works - "Bubbles with a Wink" and "Feeling Blue 2" were accepted in to the show. I'll be posting photos from the show on Friday, so stay tuned! ;-)
