Studio Renovation

(here is a the wall almost done with the new french doors)

I am getting a wall and doors in my studio, hooray!
The space in our home that I claimed for the main "studio" is our living room. We have a contemporary floor plan were the living and dining area were one huge space, kind of like a giant bowling alley. While this was great for the boys and the dog who liked to run laps through the house, this was not working out so well for me trying to work. It was even harder when hubby decided to start working from home at least one day a week. Where does he sit? Well, right next door at the dining room table. Without becoming major whiny wife here, let me just say he talks really loud on the phone for meetings all day. Ugh.
So to keep the peace, I have doors to shut myself in. My soon to be calm and quiet studio space. Yay, sigh.
And of course when I want the chaos to resume, I simply open the doors for the gang to run a few laps. ;-)
(the "before" shot of our long "bowling alley" space)

I'm hoping to get it all painted in the next couple days. I will post more photos of the finished studio when it's all done.

Yay! Congrats on the new studio space! And, believe me, I know exactly what you're talking about with the hubby working from home and those darn conference calls. Geez! ;)
