Golden Fall

Leaves of Fall - Fine Silver and "Old Yellow Jade" Bracelet

Golden and red trees
Nod to the soft breeze,
As it whispers, "Winter is near;"
And the brown nuts fall
At the wind's loud call,
For this is the Fall of the year.
- from Ellen Robena Field
"A Fall Song"

I started out my day with a hike with our dog through the woods this morning. The air was crisp and the leaves were golden. What a wonderful way to start the day! I hope yours is as good as mine!

Apple Picking

Every year we take a little family trip to Carter's Mountain. It never seems to really feel like fall is here until we've hiked through the orchard picking bags full of apples and of course stuffing our faces with their homemade apple donuts, yum! What a perfect day!

Happy First Day of Fall
