A Night of Lights

What a perfect evening . . .
a winter wonderland of paperwhite blooms
magic in the fairy kingdom
cups of hot chocolate and time with my family
santa's woodland friends

the most amazing display of lights

and the tiniest fairy villages.
Now I am off to bed with sweet dreams of lights and sugarplums in my head.

In Awe of Nature's Beauty

"Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. It will never fail you. "
Frank Lloyd Wright

The weather finally dropped below 90 degrees (it's been upper 90s - 104! lately), so the boys and I took a little field trip to the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens. At the risk of sounding corny, I find that being there soothes the sole. As always when I go there, I am in awe of nature's incredible beauty. Even my usually noisy boys seemed more quiet than usual as we took it all in.

"Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. It will never fail you."
